Here’s a clip of the first single off Born and Raised, called “Shadow Days.” I’m excited to share the first bit of sound from the album… Been looking forward to a post like this since October 14, 2010, the first day I started writing this group of songs. Enjoy.

We are pleased to announce the Brooks Young Band is currently hard at work in the studio recording the follow up to their 2010 debut album, “Counting Down”. The debut album features prominent rock and blues guitar player Johnny A. on the title track. There are currently negotiations in progress to feature other well known national recording artists on the new album. The band is curently working with producer Hirsh Gardener.

The Brooks Young Band is a rock, pop, blues band from Concord, NH that has performed with national recording artists BB King, James Cotton, James Montgomery, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, J. Geils of the J. Geils Band, Huey Lewis and the News, Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes, Barry Goudreau of Boston, Brad Whitford of Aerosmith and Michael Carabello of Santana.

The Brooks Young Band is known for their well-crafted rock, pop songs, their high energy live performances and their commitment to the discipline of creating, recording and performing quality music. Songs by the Brooks Young Band have been featured on radio stations such as The River, 92.5 (Boston), and WHEB, 100.3 (Portsmouth). The band has a busy touring schedule with shows at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom, The Flying Monkey Performance Center, the Great Bay Music Festival, Criterion Theatre, Wachusett Mountain and more shows will be scheduled to promote the new album.
